“Like many doulas, my journey started when I was pregnant. That was five years ago, and I can’t believe how much has changed in my life since then! When I was pregnant, I was captivated by my baby girl's weekly development. It lit a spark in me- and I haven’t looked back!
After I settled into motherhood and life became more manageable, I decided to go all in on my doula training. I’m a lifelong learner and constantly in the pursuit of knowledge. I’ve spent the last couple of years filling my education toolbelt- Postpartum Doula Certification, Birth Doula Certification, Certified Breastfeeding Counselor, Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Perinatal Nutrition Educator, Prenatal Yoga Instructor Certification, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Birth Workers. I took every opportunity offered, and that’s guided my approach with my postpartum clients because I can see the whole picture.
My friends describe me as bubbly and outgoing- sprinkled in with the perfect touch of calmness. When I’m in a client’s home, I can tell right away when the moment calls for simplicity and holding space rather than using words. But don’t get me wrong- I’m a conversationalist at heart which helps my extroverted clients feel a sense of normalcy while they are inside their intimate postpartum bubble.
I’ve learned the importance of carving out time for myself in between mom life, nanny life (with twins!), and working at a Montessori school. Drawing, painting, and crafts bring so much joy to my life. My daughter and I love exploring our community together on walks, and visiting the Indianapolis Children’s Museum is our favorite pastime!
I can’t wait to meet you! Looking forward to and having a front row seat as you have an empowered birth, and your confidence grows as a new parent.”
